Quilt Photography Tips and Tricks

Graffiti

  • Take a photo of your project and change to black and white. Then you can really see the value and make any changes needed. Value does all the work and color gets all the credit.
  • Get up close and personal - take your photo from the same level and use manual zoom (walk in closer!).
  • Use natural light wherever possible.
  • work on using angles and negative space.
  • The best photo editing app I have used is Lightroom by Adobe, but the app with your phone camera is pretty good too! Get comfortable changing the exposure and working with adjusting the settings until you get what it actually looks like!
Hope you find these tips helpful!

Cheers for now,
